Selection process
Learn how applications are evaluated, from academic review to final selection and interview.
How applications are assessed ?
Applications are evaluated through a multi-step selection process involving academic review, shortlisting and interview. Each application is carefully assessed by members of the Academic and Management Board using transparent and structured criteria.
Step 1 – Application Evaluation
Each eligible application is first pre-evaluated by two members of the Academic and Management Board, based on the following weighted criteria:
| Criteria | Weight |
|---|---|
| Recognition of home institution / first degree | 10% |
| Rank / grade / distinction | 20% |
| Adequacy of academic background | 20% |
| Research / professional / international experience | 20% |
| Recommendation letters | 10% |
| Motivation (cover letter) | 20% |
| English proficiency | Pass / Fail |
Applications are scored on a scale from 0 to 5 (5 = Excellent, 0 = Insufficient). Special attention is given to ensure consistency across evaluators.
Step 2 – Shortlisting and Interview
Top applications (score ≥ 3.5/5) are reviewed by the consortium partners and evaluated again by two independent reviewers using the same criteria and weighting system.
Shortlisted applicants are invited to an online interview and evaluated on a scale from 0 to 5.
| Criteria | Weight |
|---|---|
| Understanding and clarity of answers | 10% |
| Ability to illustrate skills with real experiences | 20% |
| Consistency between background and goals | 20% |
| Knowledge of the programme | 20% |
| Level of motivation and engagement | 30% |
| English proficiency | Pass / Fail |
Final selection
Final decisions are made by the Academic Board and agreed by full consensus between all partner universities.
An administrative verification is then conducted (diploma authenticity, references).
